DonkeyislanD essential oils and hydrosols are the only ones that we can guarantee that are unadulterated, simply because we produce them ourselves! The collection of the herbs and plants, the drying (where necessary), the distillation and bottling are done by us or under our continuous supervision, in order to make sure that all conditions are kept, during all the stages of production, which guarantee a quality, pure, unadulterated, authentic end product.
A hydrosol is the pure, distillate water that remains after essential oils are steam distilled from the original plant material. Hydrosols are usually clear and have the appearance and consistency of water. Their aroma is generally, but not always, similar to that of the essential oil, but the aroma is usually much more subtle. Hydrosols contain very small amounts of the essential oil.

"In the Bible, the book of Genesis tells us that the fruit of the tree was used for food, and the leaf for medicine. And so it is with many plants- one part is used for food, and another is used for medicine. Hippocrates said, “Let your food be your medicine, and your medicine be your food.” There is no clear distinction between food and medicine; they are all part of a vast continuum."
